Interviewing Online Money Gamers

•July 27, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Triangle research team is currently interviewing Finnish online money gamers. The interviews focus on experiences from various money games and the role of sociability in them. The interviews have started and we’re looking forward to start analyzing the results on August 2011.

We are also looking at Facebook games at the moment from various perspectives. The work on SoPlay heuristics for social games is continuing and we are also using PLEX-cards to analyse the experience of playing social network games.

Valve has released Team Fortress 2 as free-to-play game. This is an interesting move from the business perspective and we are looking at that too. Shadow Cities, a mobile MMO game, has also gained favorable reviews all over the world and we have already made some initial player interviews through IRC.

We have also a new team member, please welcome research assistant Kati Alha.

Have a nice day.
